What Motivates the Philanthropic Donor?
A guest speaker from a foundation will come and speak on why they want to support L’Arche, and how our work fits with their philanthropic values.
Daily faith sharing breakfast with Raphael Amato
Many of you may know Raphael and the inspiring insights he has to offer. Raphael has been part of L’Arche for 32 years, serving in a variety of leadership positions within the Federation. He will ground us in the spirituality of L’Arche and lead us to reflect on our roles as L’Arche ambassadors.
Working Through the Cycle of Fundraising
This gives all of us the opportunity to map out our strategies for prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and the stewardship needed to motivate donors and inspire them to give. You will also have the chance to share your current challenges and receive ideas and feedback from the group. Stimulate your creativity and share L’Arche specific ideas with a hands-on approach.
L’Arche in Social Media and Our Branding
John Guido will lead a discussion on L’Arche branding and communications strategies for the 2019 50th anniversary and how to tie things like our events or UN days to our message and deliver these via effective social media.
The Challenges of Fundraising within a Federated Model
Gary Sim will lead a discussion addressing the challenges of finding collaborative opportunities to fundraise when the structure of our organization with its multi layered and independent levels of governance have historically created a competitive environment. How do we create a new paradigm whereby collaboration will create a brighter future for fundraising at all levels?
Who should attend?
Please come if you are engaged in fundraising in any capacity (staff, volunteer, etc.). Seasoned fundraisers are needed to share your expertise with those newer to their roles. We also encourage Community Leaders, Board Presidents and Regional Leaders to come. It is most effective if two people from your community attend.
Fundraising is so very critical for all L’Arche communities today and we need our leaders to integrate a vision and practice of L’Arche fundraising into all aspects of the work. This workshop will help you become a more effective leader in this regard.
