L'Arche Outaouais (Agapè) is recruiting a Community Leader
L'Arche Outaouais is a beautiful community made up of four (4) homes and a workshop. For the past 40 years, it has welcomed people with intellectual disabilities and those who support them. Together, community members share their lives based on the core values of the L’Arche Canada Servant Leadership Model. At L’Arche, we discover an unconditional welcome grounded in human dignity and the respect of differences. The 30 L'Arche communities across Canada are working together to shape a more humane and just society where the gifts of each person are recognized and celebrated.
Under the supervision of the Board of Directors, in connection with the authorities of L’Arche in Québec, Canada and International, and in accordance with the mission, values and philosophy of L'Arche, the Community Leader performs the duties of Executive Director. They are responsible for the planning, coordination, and achievement of the organization’s goals. As such they will direct all activities related to the management and supervision of programs, in addition to all human, material and financial resources, in order to adequately meet the needs of the community, particularly those of core members. Lastly, they will collaborate with the Board of Directors, leadership team, community council, house leaders and other committee members to ensure compliance with government standards and guidelines, as well as with regional and community policies.
