Jean Vanier is my friend and is like a brother to me. He had his 80th birthday. He is a good man and he teaches us to open our hearts. He is a really good man. It’s too bad he couldn’t be here tonight but he is in India. Thank you Jean Vanier.

Nathan Ball, Director of L'Arche Canada Foundation and Gordon Henry of L'Arche Daybreak addressed the assembly in front of a giant screen where pictures of Harold Lejeune arts (L'Arche Beloeil) and Amil Zavodivker pictures of L'Arche Cape Breton were displayed.
