A large community in a metropolis on the mountainous west coast of Canada, very engaged in social justice and interfaith dialogue in its milieu.

Established in 1974, L'Arche Greater Vancouver is a community of approximately 100 people. Twenty-two people with developmental disabilities live with those who assist them in our six homes. We also have two day programs: The Emmaus Center that provides meaningful activities for 12 people with disabilities and our Neighbours Helping Neighbours crew that serves the elderly and people with physical disabilities by doing yard work and other chores.

We are deeply committed to relationships with people who have developmental disabilities through creating safe, happy homes and meaningful workday programs that develop and reflect individual choices, talents and gifts.
